The Jabo bait boat is one of the most affordable bait boats in the market, at a price of only £120 for the standard bait boat in brand new condition. The bait boat is made from strong plastic that is securely sealed, wherein no water can seep through even if the boat was to capsize. And if the boat was to capsize, the Jabo bait boat is designed to turn itself the right way up.

The Jabo bait boat also comes with a unique propeller system that is worth the mention. The propellers can actually be found inside the boat, where it is safe and sound and free from weeds, making the Jabo bait boat the perfect companion when fishing in weedy waters.

The Jabo bait boat has a sailing time of more than 2 hours, and runs at a speed of 1 meter per second. The bait boat has an operating range of 300 meters and also has other features like an underwater lamp which attracts fishes and a hook-dropping function which allows you to drop your hook in the right place at the right time.

The newer version (2B) of the Jabo bait boat includes an LCD transmitter which shows important information like water depth and temperature, battery life, and even fish depth.

 

Verdict:

Pros: The Jabo bait boat comes with weed-proof propellers, easy to use even when night fishing, strong and waterproof plastic body, the ability to turn itself the right way up, an underwater fish attracting lamp, the ability to steer left and/or right, and a hook dropping function all for less than £120. If you haven’t got much to spend for a bait boat, this is a good option for you instead of making one yourself.

Cons: The 1A model only comes with 500 grams of bait capacity, this can mean more trips back, especially for bait refills. You also do not have the option to buy spare parts to upgrade the boat, like a fish finder for example. You have to purchase the newer model in order to do so.

The best deals for Jabo bait boats are on ebay. You will see 2 types being sold, the 2b is slightly more expensive but comes with larger bait capacity and also has a fish finder attached.
